Deadpool Film looks like a goer.
From internet resources, A Deadpool film, a spin off character from X-men Origins: Wolverine, from 20th Century Fox is in the pipline.

The film looks like a few years off release-wise, but from reports the writers are aiming for a more faithful representation of the comic book character and not deviate as much as the Wolverine film.
Is the film a good or bad idea to make?
Spin off films can work, but can fall down – me thinks Catwoman!
My thoughts are most of the people initially viewing a spin off film are aware of the characters already and want a good, accurate as possible representation with a strong representation of a story line.
Initial comments have stated they aim to stick to the comics representation very closely. Lets hope so.
Wolverine was of interest as his back story was one of the main topics of interest in the x-men world. The film sticking to the graphic novel’s story line…..hmmmmmmmm.
Will Deadpool work as a film? We wait and see.
